Fidelity Investments underwrites an NPR program I listen to, and lately I've been wondering about the disclaimer at the end of the on-air credit:
"Investing involves risk, including the risk of loss."
Including the risk of loss? Does that mean investing entails other, unspecified risks? Such as ... what, exactly? High blood pressure? Heartbreak? Hiccups? Constipation? Cancer? Insomnia? Depression? Arrest? Incarceration? Dismemberment? Death?
I think I'll take the money and run.
