I've actually gotten lost on NPR and enjoyed my stay!

Speaking of Estonian! I got a chance to go to Estonia last year - tagging along on D's business trip - and got a hoot out of having the linguistic richness of that country explained to me. It's an amazing place, and if you have a chance to visit Tallinn, do. The country has a post-Soviet architecture that is rapidly being replaced by modern everything, and for now, it's still mostly pristine countryside and affordable cities.

What's not to like?

"... the mentality of the tundra hunters of thousands of years ago can still be perceived in modern Estonian."

Great find!

Thanks for the mention Nancy. I've been enjoying your tweets, and now I get to enjoy your blog as well.

Not sure if you're familiar with my neighbour Charles Hodgson who writes the Podictionary Blog http://podictionary.com/ - but it's a must-have for any word-nerd's subscription list. His books Wine Words and Carnal Knowledge (words about the human body) are also fantastic.
