The same mindset that would spend $40K on a substandard piece of engineering would also buy into the "cut and run" psychology that politicians play. We're just not a very smart country, by and large, it seems. The Chevy ad people understand this; use over the top USA sentiment to sell a crappy truck...

I take back what I said...we are a smart country, and a better country than the world believes us to be. It usually takes a few years for reality to catch up with most of America...we're not always quick on the uptake. However, when it comes to spending dollars, the intelligence of the truck buying public will be seen soon...measure 2007 Toyota pickup truck sales against this Chevy brand....
