I'm delighted to announce that this blog has been voted—by you, you, and you — one of the Top 10 Language Blogs (Language Professionals division) for 2010!
I juuust squeaked in at #10, the only name developer—I'm surprised to say — in a field dominated by translators.
Overall, out of 495 language blogs nominated, Fritinancy ranked #48.
The contest included some very impressive contenders, including several of my own favorite blogs: Sentence First, Word Routes, Grammar Girl, Wishydig, The Name Inspector, and Separated by a Common Language. Mostly new to me were the many translation and teaching blogs, as well as the non-English-language blogs.
Many thanks to all of you who voted for Fritinancy! I hope you'll take a few minutes and explore the other blogs on the lists. They're all winners.

I'd like to see a post about the use of the phrase "shameless self-promotion". It is everywhere. Nowhere do I see "shameful self-promotion" or simply "self-promotion".
Maybe you could give your thoughts on this before the Texas BofE does :)

Hello - back to your older post on the dreaded ubiquitous P word "passion". Headlines recently blared "Barack Obama: I need allies with passion in Congress". No, no, no, Mr. President, that is so lame!
