I first started paying attention to the number of left-handed Presidents (and candidates) during the debate with President George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Ross Perot. Al Gore and John McCain are lefties, too.

Note that the article uses both gauche and sinister as adjectives -- a lovely use of language for this specific purpose.
